Virtuous Vice, The: Globalization

Globalization is both a virtue and a vice. On balance it is beneficial to individuals, communities, nations, and the world economy. It facilitates the movement of goods and services, people, financial capital, and ideas. Overall, it creates wealth. Globalization does have vices, however, cultural clashes, environmental degradation, and displaced workers among them. The contributors to this volume contend that the give and play between the positive and negative sides of globalization will eventually result in a smoother and more equitable process. Read more
