The Vertical splitboard adheres to a construction philosophy of reduced materials for increased performance, speed, and lowest weight. A directional splitboard shape narrower than any other splitboard in the line, reducing the overall set-up weight and friction on snow, resulting in an energy-saving, faster hike to the top. In addition, the longer nose shape and slight setback offer a well-balanced float distribution allowing you to surf down the untracked powder you deserve. Every little detail on this board has been challenged and re-designed. A new proprietary edge geometry saves 40% weight compared to standard edges. The board's lightweight topsheet construction sheds 60% compared to the standard, another 20 % on the Sintered Speed Formula II Base. While the optimized insert pattern saves another 35% of steel compared to other insert patterns. Because on the way up, every gram counts! The board's secret ingredient is Nitro's lightest Powerlite core to date. Koroyd, a patented tubular cell structure consisting of 95% air and a mix of low-density, selected wood, creates a powerful ride and lots of snap.
