Riempie Bar Stool

Our solid timber Riempie bar stool is a departure from our Riempie chair design. It is a contemporary interpretation of a true and time tested South African classic.

Riempie chairs were used by the early 1820 settlers who were on the move and needed lightweight chairs that utilized the materials available and the technique of Riempies (leather thongs) provided just that. simple, lightweight and strong chair that embraces our South African heritage.

When made from Iroko with white synthetic Riempies this design can be used outdoors.

This is a custom piece of furniture, made to order, to your exact specification. Wipe surface with a damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth after daily use. Spills should be wiped up directly. Please refer to full care and maintenance instructions in the pdf link below.
