This Flatweave Rug is spun from raw wool and has been finely handwoven by master artisans in Afghanistan, combining contemporary design with age-old techniques.
Part of what makes Afghanistan’s rugs so special is the wool they are made from. Each strand of wool is individually spun by hand, giving the rug great character. Colours are obtained from natural dyes made by crushing dried flowers and plants into fine powders, giving the rug beautiful hues that develop a warm patina over time.
Please note that no two rugs are ever identical, they are characterised by slight irregularities that are typical of handmade pieces.
