The Phoenix Rasbora, commonly refered to as the Merah Rasbora, is an amazing nano fish with a great temperament. They are very timid so this makes them a great addition to a shrimp or snail tank. The Merah Rasbora can reach lengths of just under 1 inch. Their scientific name is Boraras merah.

In nature, these fish come from slow moving black water streams. They prefer lots of leaves, wood and rock work. Therefore, these fish are the perfect addition to a well planted buffered aquarium (PH less than 7). In nature, the Merah Rasbora feed on micro organism and small insects.
