Florence Wallpaper

A fortunate accident with a passport took Sophie Harpley to Florence twice in 2024 while she was designing her new prints. Although Matisse is a more salient muse for this one, she can't help but feel a sense of Florence crept in and the name seems to suit her. 

The idea was to play with the sort of very small repeat sometimes used in the arts and crafts movement - but to paint it with a more spontaneous hand and create a contrast.

As with all these prints, this design can be recreated in different colourways on request. Here she has chosen a delicious chocolate brown and plaster-pink, on a cream background. This is a petite print that works well as a background and a reference point to other art or pattern around a room.
