The Clarkii Clownfish is an excellent choice for beginner to intermediate aquarists. These hardy fish thrive in tanks of 20 gallons or larger, though 30+ gallons is ideal for long-term health and breeding pairs. Clarkii Clownfish are highly compatible with anemones—particularly Bubble Tip and Carpet anemones—and coexist well with peaceful community fish. Avoid housing with aggressive species or large predators. Diet consists of high-quality flake food, pellets, and occasional frozen foods like mysis shrimp and brine shrimp. Feed small portions twice daily. Temperament is generally peaceful, though males can become territorial during breeding. Pairs bond strongly and may chase other fish from their anemone host. Juveniles are more docile than adults.
