Each Buffon No.48 Igneus frame is individually painted using the ancient art of hand marbling, making every one completely unique. The Giclée reprint is from Wildmore's large collection of original prints from ‘Buffon’s Complete Works’. Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon was one of the most noted and celebrated naturalists of his time. Each of the original 1816 illustrations was printed and then hand painted in water colour in Spitalfields, London.

Handmade to order so please allow 2-3 weeks before dispatch. Wildmore's Buffon collection is firstly reprinted on acid free bamboo paper in London. They are then mounted in unique hand marbled frames that are hand crafted in England from solid pine and then hand marbled in Lincolnshire.
