Brewing beer has never been this easy with the Black Rock Malt Extract Brewing can that makes 23L of beer. 

This Classic IPA is known for its balanced bitterness and rich malt character, making it a perfect choice for those who enjoy a flavorful and refreshing beer. The combination of specialty malts and carefully selected hops results in a beer that is both satisfying and bold. The NZ Green Bullet hops provide a moderate bitterness that complements the malt sweetness, creating a smooth and enjoyable IPA.

• IBU: 27, SRM: 6
• Malt: 56% MaltEurop Ale, 31% MaltEurop Lager, 7% Gladfield Light Crystal, 6% Gladfield Aurora.
• ABV: 4.5% (approx. using 1.7kg Black Rock Light UME)
• Hops, (bittering): NZ Hops Green Bullet™

What is included:

• 1.7kg brew can containing hopped liquid malt extract
• Yeast
• Basic instructions on back of can

Recommend to be brewed with Dextrose 1kg to increase alcohol to 4.5% (available under brewing sugars).

What do I need to get started? 

• Basic brew kit - Fermentation bucket, capper, airlock, bottling tube ect. Available here
• Empty bottles (Not twist top bottles) and caps.  Available here  
• Carbonation sugar (Dextrose work best). Available here  
• No Rinse Sanitiser. MOST IMPORTANT STEP!  Available here   

Try brewing this recipe with a specialty ale yeast like Fermentis Yeast: SafAle™ US-05.

For a craftier option, try 50-200g of dry hop at day 6 of fermentation.

Suggested hop additions:   

New Zealand Hops:
Nelson Sauvin: Adds white wine, gooseberry, and tropical fruit notes, perfect for a unique and aromatic IPA. Motueka: Provides lime, lemon, and tropical fruit aromas, ideal for a refreshing and fruity IPA.

American Hops:
Cascade: Adds floral, citrus, and grapefruit notes, perfect for a classic and refreshing IPA.
Centennial: Provides lemon, floral, and pine aromas, ideal for a bold and aromatic IPA.
