Our Basic Hot Box is a treatment with a very soft wax that penetrates and bonds to your base material to minimize the amount of hand work needed to prepare a new or freshly ground ski. We use a Hot Box specific wax in our Tazzari Hot Box to maximize the amount of wax saturation. Hotboxing is most effective for new and newly stoneground skis, skis that have seen layers of wax application and use do not benefit from the hotbox process.
