Description: This is one of the more unique fish we carry. African Knifefish make an awesome addition to any oddball predatory tank. While they are predatory and will go after smaller fish, they are far from aggressive. They must be kept in a more docile set-up with other similarly sized predatory fish. They are mostly nocturnal, using electric signals to sense their surroundings as they have poor eyesight, so a knife tube is highly recommended. This allows the knife to feel as if it is hiding, while still being visible to you! It is not recommended to keep this fish with any other knife fish or mormyrids, otherwise there may be aggression.
