The 1/2” Auto-Siphon is a large-capacity siphoning tool designed for quickly transferring beer, wine, mead, and other fermented beverages between vessels. Featuring a 1/2” diameter inner racking cane, this auto-siphon moves larger volumes of liquid faster than smaller siphons, making it useful for brewers handling larger batches or kegging setups. The one-pump siphon design helps simplify transfers while reducing disturbance to sediment during racking.
Designed for homebrewers and winemakers working with larger fermentation vessels, the 1/2” Auto-Siphon includes a removable anti-sediment filter tip that helps minimize sediment pickup during transfers. The siphon disassembles easily for cleaning and sanitizing between brewing sessions and can be paired with a compatible auto-siphon clamp to help keep the intake positioned above sediment layers.
This siphon is compatible with 1/2” inner diameter transfer tubing, which is sold separately. The siphon performs best when submerged in at least 6 inches of liquid and is compatible with larger fermenters such as 6.5 gallon glass carboys. It is not compatible with standard 1 gallon carboys due to its larger diameter and height.
To use, sanitize the siphon and transfer tubing, submerge the siphon into the fermenter, attach compatible tubing, and pump the siphon to begin liquid flow. The large inner diameter helps speed up transfers while supporting cleaner movement of beer, wine, or mead between fermenters, bottling buckets, or kegs.
Widely used in homebrewing and winemaking setups, the 1/2” Auto-Siphon provides a reusable and efficient transfer solution for brewers handling larger fermentation volumes and faster racking workflows.
