How LinkedIn Recommendations Can…

The days of hard-copy recommendation letters privately shared with prospective employers are over. Now, it's all about LinkedIn recommendations. Why Holiday Parties Are…

We've all been there: Stuck at a company holiday party you'd rather not attend, or maybe your next-door neighbors are throwing an event you just can't avoid. Whatever the occasion, these parties can be draining during the holidays. This is especially true for those of us who are introverts, or those of us who have other commitments such as children or demanding jobs. But if you're planning to enter the job market soon, holiday parties can truly be the perfect places ... Source: Recruiter

Be Selfish – and…

We often think of the job search as a set of discrete, concrete steps: writing our marketing documents, preparing for interviews, networking, using LinkedIn, etc. However, there are also some less tangible factors job seekers must consider – the first of which is the need to be selfish. Re-Filing a PERM Petition

Once an employer requests its application be withdrawn, how soon can the employer file a new application for the same foreign worker? After requesting a withdrawal, an employer may not file a new ETA Form 9089 for the same foreign worker until one of the following occurs: (A) Employer sees, using the online PERM system, that the status of the original case changes from “In Process” to “Withdrawn,” or (B) Employer receives confirmation (via standard U.S. Mail or e-mail) from the NPC that the ETA Form 9089 currently in process has been withdrawn. The employer is reminded that an employer may not file a new application merely because the online status changed to “Denied.” The employer must wait until it receives the Final Determination Form from the National Processing Center stating the reasons for the denial. This ensures the employer is apprised of all the application’s deficiencies. Source: h1b now

Focus on the Future:…

You've probably heard the saying, "Employers don't care about what you've done; they care about what you will do." Rest assured, it's the truth. Throughout every round of interviews, employers are trying to determine how you can save them money, improve quality, increase revenue, improve productivity, or help the company in other ways. Employers believe that if you've achieved similar accomplishments in relevant roles in the past, you will likely do the same for them. On the other hand, ... Source: Recruiter
