You’ve likely used Airbnb to book your travel accommodations, but is working at the Internet travel company just as fun as experiencing the product?

Airbnb, which has been around since 2008, has an overall company rating of 4.2, putting it on our list of Best Places to Work for the second year in a row.

So whether you’re an avid user of Airbnb or a job seeker looking for a new start at a great company, we’ve got the inside scoop on what it’s like to work at Airbnb.

Spoiler alert: their office is so cool; you’d want to book it for a stay!

The perks

Employees who left reviews on Glassdoor gave Airbnb’s perks and benefit a rating of 4.6, with health insurance, maternity, and paternity leave, and 401K plans being the top perks.

“This is the best healthcare package I’ve received through an employer,” wrote an employee from the company’s Portland, Oregon-based office.

For maternity leave, mothers can take a total of 22 paid weeks. All new parents–which include mothers, fathers, adopting and same-sex–get 10 weeks, which is far above the industry standard.

The company also provides flexible spending accounts, Apple equipment, options to work remotely, 3-weeks of paid time off, stock options, commuter benefits ($100 per month for parking or public transit) plus, employees are fed breakfast lunch and dinner.

Anything else? You bet! The company gives each employee a $2,000 travel coupon (or $500 every quarter) each year to use for seeking their own adventures.

The people

It’s a good thing Airbnb takes care of its employees–because there are some amazing, well-deserved people behind the scenes at this company.

“Amazing culture and talented people to work with,” wrote an anonymous employee who gave the company a five-star rating.

Airbnb’s CEO Brian Chesky has received 294 ratings, with an approval of 94%!

“The people that work here are some of the best I’ve met in my professional career,” writes a current, full-time employee at Airbnb. “The culture is good. The founders are great people and I believe they have the best intentions for the company, the employees, and our community. There is a lot of opportunity to learn from different teams and possibly switch roles as departments grow and new team form.”

The office digs and culture

What’s the biggest “pro” to working at Airbnb? The culture.

According to a software engineer at Airbnb, “It’s all about love, love guests, hosts, employees, the societies the communities, the world. It’s a collaborative environment.”

The Airbnb office looks as cool as some of the listings you add to your “wish list” on the app. And that’s because the office space was designed to showcase its global expansion.

Throughout their office, there are different rooms that display a different culture–from cafes inspired by Cairo, or a Mexican-themed log cabin meeting space, every room is different, unique and speaks to the Airbnb brand.

“Our company mission is to create a world where you can belong anywhere,” explains Mark Levy, Head of Employee Experience at Airbnb in video depicting the company culture. “And in employee experience, our mission is to create a work environment where people feel like they belong here. It is kind of the intersection of where travel, adventure, and belonging–and there is definitely seen in our work place.”

Who wouldn’t want to work in such an inspiring, creative working space?

Just as it inspires travelers to explore, immerse in culture and interact with new people, Airbnb upholds these values by creating a working environment that inspires and motivates employees on a daily basis. Based on employee reviews and ratings, it truly is an amazing company to work for.
